Founded in 2009 by Remi Garcia, Garcia Guitars is dedicated to the art and craft of custom guitar making.

From daily player to one of a kind heirlooms, I approach every project as a unique opportunity to tell the owner’s story.

At Garcia Guitars only the highest quality solid timbers are used, sourced directly from milling yards or luthier suppliers.

I use Forest Stewardship Council approved wood where possible and products from sources I believe to be ethical and sustainable.

Tonewoods are hand selected for their sonic qualities and aesthetic beauty.

The wood for your guitar is processed both by hand and machine, allowing me to focus on what is most important at the right time.

That is why at Garcia Guitars the experience is organic, but quality is always guaranteed.

A little about me.

Born to French/Spanish parents I was immersed early into the music and culture of the mediteranian. My mother loved to play classical guitar and I spent much of my childhood from the age of six, learning furntiure restoration in my father’s workshop.

From and early age my father sat me on his work bench, I would talk endlessly and watch as he worked. The smell of freshly sawn timber and wood shavings filled the air.

It became my haven, a world stage for the Flamenco legends and classical music he so loved to work to.

When I first started building guitars back in 2009 as a furniture making apprentice, working timber in the Spanish tradition really felt like I was coming home.

Following my apprenticeship I worked in boat building for 6 years fitting out bay cruisers and super yachts with bespoke, hand crafted cabinetry, and that gave me a really strong foundation in using composite materials such as carbon fibre, using free form building techniques and also gaining experience working with exotic timbers.

My story, like that of many others, is one that is constantly evolving. There is no denying I am heavily influenced by my past but what truly inspires me is a desire to capture the essence of our surroundings in playable art.

For me the process of designing and building a guitar is one which encompasses the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual energies.

The instrument you receive is a snapshot of who I am, where I have been and where I am going.
